Hole in one

I have really enjoyed this weekend. It's been another busy one and great weather too so where to begin...

I started off the weekend with a woodland walk with Mum. We took Reggie and Rosie out for a walk together for the first time and they were really good. Rosie is still a little nervous to go too far away from Mum but she is full of beans.

Unfortunately I didn't take my camera with me but I did still get some good pictures on my phone.

Rosie got a little wet and muddy and was totally shattered when we got home bless her.

Saturday evening we had friends over for dinner and games. We played Pictionary which was so much fun. Me and Lucy lost miserably but the guys were so funny it was worth it. We were too busy playing that we forgot to eat the lovely desert they made but we may of had some for breakfast this morning so it didn't go to waste.

The weather continued to be nice today so this afternoon we went and had a game of mini golf at Dobbies with the rest of the Cook clan. The Cook men tend to be quite competitive with any sport so today wasn't any different. None of them won either. It was such a good laugh and we ended up getting a few free games too.

I always get a little sad when Sunday evenings come around as the weekends always go way too quickly but as it's my birthday in a week I am quite looking forward to the next few weekends as I have lots planned.

I will leave you with this authentic Russian Doll that my lovely work friend Ekaterina brought back for me on her last visit. It's so cute.

Thanks for reading. Will post again soon. S x

Who lives in a house like this?

I am a very happy girl this weekend for quite a few reasons. The first being that we finally have a new front door. This probably seems like a really lame thing to get so excited about but the old one was so old fashioned and let out a lot of heat. I should of taken a before and after picture so you could see just how bad the old one was but here it is all shiny and new.

I also got to spend a lot of time with my girls this weekend, which is always lovely, today we had Sonny's Christening. Lovely sunny day to celebrate a gorgeous little boy. Here are a few pics from today.

Sonny also shared today with his cousin Lily. How cute are these rocking chairs!

Now Reg is feeling a bit better we also had a little play date with Rosie but he is still not really that bothered about her but Rosie is persistent so I'm sure she will get him to like her soon. She is getting so big now but I'm sure 90% of her is fur!

I haven't posted much about make up for a while as I have found good products that work for me so I haven't changed much lately. The only thing that I have been trying out is new moisturisers. In one of the glossy boxes I tried a few months back I got a sample of a moisturising gel. I thought this was a bit strange at first but actually it sits really well under my make up and dries really quickly so when I ran out of this and went to purchase it again it was something like £20 for the smallest tube so I thought I would have a shop around. I found this and it is just as good and better value.

and yes it is called Jason which I thought was quite funny.

I am quite tired from all the lovely Italian food I stuffed my face with today so I think I might try and have an early night. Thanks for reading. Will post again soon. S x

Lazy Bones

So I haven't blogged much this week as to be honest I haven't done much and I'm pretty sure no-one wants to read about my boring week at work. So I just thought I'd write a bit about the few bits and pieces I have purchased lately.

Today I went through my wardrobe to sort out some clothes to put on Ebay, as I am starting to run out of space and I found quite a few bits that either still had tags on or that I had only worn a few times so I have put loads on ebay and I decided that I would make a more conscious decision to wear everything in my wardrobe at least once in the next year. I decided on a year as I have a lot of summer stuff and if I started walking around in a summer dress in December then people might think I've gone a bit bonkers!

However saying that, I have been shopping lately and spent a small fortune in London on a day out with the Hubby. Here is one of my favourite purchases from that day a lovely Autumnal tan coloured blazer from Oasis.

I also brought a hat which I already showed in my last post which I am trying to think of any occasion to wear it. lol!

I think I also might have a problem with collecting lipsticks. In particular Bourjois Rouge Edition ones. woops! I know the 2 red ones look the same colour but one of them is a little bit more pinky.

I have also been trying out some different toners to try and keep my hair nice and bright and I came across this Chrome colour restore by Scott Cornwall. I haven't heard of this brand before but I am very pleased with the results. After using it a few times it has kept the colour bright.

Here is a little selfie to show the results.

So I was meant to post this yesterday but for some reason I decided not to save it so I have had to re-write this last part of the post.

Yesterday was a day of catching up with family, which was really nice as it seems like I don't get to see them enough nowadays and the rest of the weekend I sat on my bum watching the last season of Once Apon a time and lot's of episodes of friends being very unproductive.
Anyways thanks for reading. I will post again soon. S x

When the Sun goes down

So I spent my last day of 10 days off work doing absolutely nothing. My bum has been firmly fixed to the sofa pretty much all day. I had a list of all the things I wanted to get done this last week and I think it's safe to say I haven't done any of them! Ah well there's always the weekend.

This weekend was mainly spent shopping (shock!) and dancing around at Sundown festival. It started off with the usual stop off at Mc D's like any road trip where I got this hat out of my happy meal, yes I am a child and still have happy meals, and it seemed to suit Nino very well. lol!

We then spent the afternoon in the sun having a few drinks and watching the main stage.

I hadn't been to Sundown festival before so I wasn't quite sure what to expect but I only really wanted to see Tinie Tempah so I wasn't too fused about the other acts but they weren't bad. It was quite a small arena so it wasn't like there was a lot to wonder around so we got ourselves a good spot in front of the stage.

We did get off our bums and do a bit of dancing...

and when it got darker we got the glow stick glasses out when Nero came on.

But by far the best of the evening was Tinie Tempah. His set was fantastic. I didn't get many photo's as I was too busy singing along and dancing to the point I did a bit too much and hurt my leg but it was worth it. Here's the few pics I took from Tinie's set.

Well it's getting late and as usual I am putting off going to bed as I don't want to get up early for work. But before I go I thought I would share a picture of the gorgeous little fluff ball that is Rosie. This was from earlier today we were playing fetch, kind of.

Thanks for reading. Will post again soon. S x

Dog sitting and decorating

It wouldn't be a week off without some decorating so I started redecorating our third bedroom. Nothing major just a few new bits and pieces. I picked up this Buddha head from the Range.

I also got these pair of candles from Pri Mark.

There is a bit of a silver, gold and copper theme to this room. I decided rather than to re-paint the walls I was going to paint a mural instead. It's a little random I know but I like to consider myself a bit of an arty person, although I haven't done much art since I was at school, I do enjoy it. I have picked a design and drawn it on the wall. So far I have spent quite a few hours on it and haven't gotten very far as it's quite detailed so It might be a while before I post a picture but hopefully by then I will of figured out how to decorate the rest of the room.

This week I have also had the pleasure of looking after 2 of my favourite little pups, or in this one's case not so little!

He's definitely got those puppy dog eyes, it's like butter wouldn't melt. I also wanted to share a picture of the lovely plants my sister has in her garden. I do love flowers I just can't keep them alive for very long. I thought these were very pretty though.

And then there is the lovely bundle of fluff that is Rosie. She is such a cutie and always under your feet. I love looking after this one she is always so playful.

I'm off out for tea now so that's all from me.

Thanks for reading. I will post again soon. S x

London Baby

Yesterday me and the husband had a day out in London. We haven't been for ages so apart from the odd rain shower we had a real nice day. We started off in Camden and rather than taste the delights of the food market in Camden Lock we went to the nearest pub and had the biggest greasiest fry up going! Good times!

In London's usual randomness there were buildings painting with all sorts of weird and wonderful things on them and also some un-usual people about...

Anyone for a spot of afternoon tea at the side of the road?

We left Camden Market and went on to the usual haunts of Leicester Square and Covent Gardens where we found a really cute little cafĂ©/bar called The Print Room to have an afternoon drink and to rest our feet from all the shopping/walking.

We had a really good view of Covent gardens and watched some guy escape a tennis racket and some chains! lol!

There was also a really strange balloon style art exhibit...

All in all we really just ate and shopped but those are always good days out in my book!

Sadly the All Saints and Selfridges bag are the husbands! He has more expensive taste than me! Well that's all from me I have tea to cook and the bake off to watch so I will leave you with a silly selfie with my very hairy bearded husband!

Thanks for reading. Will post again soon. S x
